Nice girls
Somewhere in this world right now, there is a girl out there just trying to muster up the confidence to tell the guy she’s been crushing on for a long time that she has feelings for him. He’s the only guy she’s had feelings for since her ex-boyfriend. He’s the only guy that can make her feel completely like herself and be happy about herself for once. She decided she is going to put everything out there and risk their friendship in hopes something more than come out of it. This is the moment she’s been waiting for.
It’s hard because girls are never the ones to make the initiative and they expect the guys to make the moves. I mean yes, that is true it is a little more tough on guys. But when girls decide to do it… it’s going to feel like the hardest thing they will ever do. Let’s say it’s been 8 months and there were no signs from him so now she thinks maybe he just doesn’t know at all if he knew he would feel differently also. Maybe those moments we shared from time to time really did mean something? That little glimpse of hope is all she needs to move forward. Just before she was going to tell him, she was hanging out with him and some other friends and the conversation of relationships came up. He started talking about this girl in one of her classes he’s been interested in and he was going to ask her out soon. She forced a smile and laughed and joked with everyone else. Well…she got her answer.
”You always hear a guy say nice guys finish last…so annoying…when have you ever heard a girl say nice girls finish last? Well guess what…it happens…we just keep it to ourselves.” Guys think girls are never in this situation because they feel we have other options out there that we are happy to take. But honestly, it doesn’t matter if 100 guys like her if this ONE guy doesn’t.
